About the Social Savvy Workshops

Anyone who parents (or “adults” as we like to say) the digital generation will tell you that more often than not, they are at a loss as to what kids areĀ really doing online and on their devices. This generation has NEVER known a time when there wasn’t a smartphone or computer around them, so they’re naturals at a medium that many adults consider confusing and impossible to control.

We created Social Savvy Workshops as a way to help train parents, teachers, clergy, and anyone else who finds themselves at a loss on how to educate themselves and their kids on the ins and outs of an online world. We do this thru a variety of ways:

  • Online Webinar Workshops
  • Half-day Parenting Bootcamps
  • School Assemblies
  • At-home Social Savvy Parents Group Training
  • At-home Social Savvy Kids Group Training
  • One-on-one Training
  • Customized Solutions

About our Founder, Kristen Daukas

Kristen is a seasoned digital and social media marketing executive who is also the mother of 3 teenaged daughters. She has trained countless companies on the proper use of social media and technology and was often approached by parents and other adults who were concerned at the use of apps, sites, and devices that their kids were using. She created the first Parenting Boot Camp more than 5 years ago as a way to give parents a ‘crash course’ on all the new things they were facing when it came to parenting their tweens and teens. From there, she developed the Social Parent Social where she goes to the homes of parents to give them ALL the dirty secrets of the apps their kids are using. She’s jokingly referred to as “every teen and tweens worst nightmare” because of the training she gives parents.
